About Me
Growing up in Hong Kong, I was all over the place trying to discover my path. According to my traditional and strict family, I was quite the handful. When I turned 19, I applied for a student visa to go to Canada – Edmonton to be precise. I didn’t even know how to speak English! Two weeks later with my passport, runners, and my favourite pair of Levi’s jeans packed, I said farewell to the small apartment where I lived with my parents and two little brothers.
On the way to Edmonton, all I could think about was that while I loved my family, I was finally living the life I wanted without restrictions. Coming out of the closet to discover my sexual preference and gender identity was also big on my radar!
Arriving in Canada, I studied English and eventually enrolled in college. It was a worthwhile experience, but it just wasn’t for me. I dropped out for my true calling – beauty school. I studied hair styling and headed straight into the real world to work in Calgary! It was a scary moment, but to have found my passion was totally worth it!
Forward to present day, I’m grateful that I can share my passion and love with all of you!
